Was about ready to go home two Friday’s ago with Bella after watching Race to Witch Mountain.  We lined up for the taxi lane and I asked her to stay in line while I smoked around three meters away from her side.

She was keeping herself busy and I was enjoying the drag when suddenly this hot chick approaches me, stands in-between my view of Bella and vice versa, then asks for a light.

Being a true gentleman, I whipped out my lighter and lit her cigarrette for her.  As she left, Bella comes into view with both hands on her waist.  She then asks me: “What did she want?”

So I explained to her that she just needed a light for her cigarette so I obliged.  To which she raises her two fingers (index and middle finger), points to her eyes and points to mine while saying………“I’m watching you, dude!”

On our way to Megamall to somewhat while away some time with the kids, Bella was telling me how she watched this video of a man who was inflating a pool manually when his kid, suddenly jumps into the pool successfully, blowing his father’s head off.

Appalled by what I’ve heard, I asked her if it was a cartoon.  To which she replied that it looked pretty real.   So I begin a lecture of how that is one reason why I don’t want to give her her own account in youtube and how the web has a lot of stuff in it that kids are not allowed to see.  It wasn’t a sermon, I wasn’t angry but I was very much concerned.  A fact that Bella apparently recognized as she started to comment about the kids intellectual incapacity.

Bella:  “Well, I really think that that kid is stupid.”

To which Igor butts in:  “Yeah, choopid.”

I look at Bella and we were both laughing. Then explained to her that that is why she should be careful of what she says in front of Igor as he’s in that stage wherein he will imitate whatever it is he hears and sees.

The day wears on and it was time for dinner. So we proceed to Wendy’s to get ourselves some burgers and spaghetti when Bella notices that her burger doesn’t have cheese.

Bella:  “What the heck!  This doesn’t have cheese in it.”

Igor: “Wha Daheck!”

Apparently, it will take some time to get it to sink in that Igor will do this for quite some time.

I’ve really been busy lately.  So busy that I don’t even know where to start in order to remove the pile of work that’s on my desk.  I feel overwhelmed yet, hope pushes me to act  aggressively.  I’ve been pushing myself a lot lately and although I’ve made tons of contributions to the advancement of the cause, I still feel that it’s not enough.  Which is sort of frustrating but on the other hand, it makes me realize that I am no superman and will always be restrained by the limits of time (or the lack thereof).

During these stressful times, it is so funny how moral questions seem to invade my mind in moments where I get a little peace.  It’s like  my brain doesn’t want me to shut it down and I’d have to grapple with these questions day in and day out as if the universe’s existence depends on it.

I think that it’s some sort of escape for me, but hell how can weighing the moral aspects of the death penalty or the annulment of marriages legally but not in the church or the abortion of a week old fetus be relaxing at the very least?? Yep, that’s one of my inherent weirdnesses (if ever there such a word) I guess.  Point is, it helps me shut out the the pressing problems in the office but only delays actions needed to solve those problems.  Afterall, only God can answer the moral questions that plague me during such times and no amount of ruminating on them will allow me to come up with an acceptable answer even on my terms.  Afterall, am as mortal as any other being in this world which of course does not qualify me to come up with divine answers.

At anyrate, I’ve come up with a list of questions that I would like to know the answer to, once I’m dead (I believe in the afterlife, hence I figure that the afterlife will give me all these answers), but that will all be in another entry. 🙂
