So Near and Yet So Far………….

Eversince I was a young boy, many many moons ago, I have always believed that I am destined for greatness.   Greatness is such a vague term though.  Although, I would much prefer to be great in the worldly sense, spiritually speaking, greatness becomes something that is feared.  Feared in a sense that you would NOT like it to happen to you, why? Well, sacrificing your life for someone is great.  For us catholics, suffering in silence is great.  These great acts are celebrated in the halls of catholic schools, churches and convents and constitutes the ultimate sacrifice that one can undertake.

However, I am not writing this for that type of greatness though.  What I am after is financial greatness.  When I came back from abroad, I vowed that I would etch my name in the celebrated annals of corporate history.  It has been a rough three years since I have returned.  My marriage has failed, finances continue to hound me and problems left and right besiege our company.  Yet, the company still stands.  What’s more is that we are on the verge of attaining success.  For a whole year now, we have been working on closing a deal that will provide us with stability and will make most of the projects in line as mere “icing on the cake”.  I can see it being closed.  In fact, I believe we will close the deal.  It is within my reach, grazing my fingertips with it’s cold reassuring surface. We will know for certain within two weeks.  The suspense is killing me yet all I can do really is pray.  So near and yet so far.

For those who pray, kindly put a good word for us in your prayers. 🙂

I will include you in my prayers. When you’ve attained your success I’d be expecting the following from you as your friend:
    1. a pair of jeans size 28. remember that i want nothing more than designer jeans.
    2. a new ipod video since my brother doesn’t have any plans of returning mine.
    3. a weekend W… could be here or anywhere in Asia.
I’ve a very special relationship with God and he usually answers my prayers…
Cheer up man! There was never any doubt that you could achieve anything…. Darn, you’re almost there! Good luck! 🙂

Don’t worry Popsie Virus, I’ll include you in my prayers. God will help you close this deal.
It might be the longest wait in your life but once you reach the end of the line (in this case once the inks in contract has dried) you’ll see that it was all worth it. Just chill Popsie.:)

Alvin, here are my reasons why I can’t give you what you ask.
    1. I don’t wear designer jeans. I’m against the establishment. I prefer worn out ripped out jeans. Hehehehe
    2. Wow chong, I myself only have a shuffle. Now remind me to borrow your new ipod video when it arrives ha?
    3. Now this, ah yes this! This I can give you, and with much enthusiasm at that! Wag na asia, they all look the same anywhere anyway. Hahahaha
TK, thank you. Just like Alvin up there, I used to fancy myself as having the inside connection in heaven. Somewhere along the line, I just lost it. Don’t know why, but I still believe.
Cheska, Hey thanks for passing by madame and thanks for the prayers. Love the new template. 🙂
